Frequently Asked Questions about GlobalFit’s Privacy Policy:
  1. Will GlobalFit sell my contact information or email address?

No.  GlobalFit uses your contact and other information only to provide the information you request such as guest passes or information about GlobalFit promotions, or to provide the goods or services that you order, such as items purchased or memberships purchased.  Occasionally, GlobalFit may send you a promotional offer for a partner’s goods or services, but these offers still come from GlobalFit.  We may transmit your basic contact information to a third party acting as our agent (including fitness clubs at which you are a member) specifically for the purpose of fulfilling any items you have ordered, including emails, physical product, or membership services.  We may also share your contact information or membership with the organization with whom you claim eligibility (your employer, insurer, or group) to verify your eligibility.

  1. How do I opt out of receiving promotional offerings from GlobalFit?

You may do so at the time of registration or at any time by editing your member/guest profile (login).  GlobalFit respects your time and only wants to send you promotional and education materials if you desire them.  Keep in mind that even if you opt out of receiving promotional and educational materials, you will still be sent material that has a direct impact on your ongoing business relationship with GlobalFit, such as Guest Passes which you request, order confirmations, letters apprising you of changes to your membership, or occasional surveys or communications designed to improve customer satisfaction.

  1. I’ve opted out, but I still keep getting emails.  Why is this happening?

Opt-outs may take up to 7 business days to take effect.  Note that you will still receive emails from GlobalFit during this time, and anytime that you specifically request an item (such as a guest pass). Also, while you may no longer be receiving promotional offers from GlobalFit, you may still receive offers about GlobalFit which are sent by your employer, insurer, or group.  You may also receive emails from other agents of GlobalFit whom you have separately given your contact information to (your fitness club, for example).  You may need to contact these other sources to be removed from their lists.

  1. I believe GlobalFit may have violated this Privacy Policy.  How do I lodge a complaint?

GlobalFit takes your privacy very seriously, and will investigate any dispute arising from potential non-compliance with this privacy policy.

GlobalFit collects a minimal amount of information required in order to determine a potential user's eligibility for all of GlobalFit's products and services and to effectively communicate with the user.

Why is this information collected?

GlobalFit collects Eligibility Information to ensure that a potential user of GlobalFit's products, services or offers is contractually eligible for those products, services or offers. For example, due to contractual obligations, GlobalFit may not sell fitness club memberships to certain clubs if the member is employed by a particular employer. As another example, some clubs are women-only or men-only, and GlobalFit is obligated to not sell to the incorrect gender. GlobalFit also collects minimal contact information, such as an email address, to allow communication of requested materials (guest passes, promotional information, etc.) to the potential user or membership information, such as the MileagePlus loyalty program account number, to verify eligibility for MileagePlus offers.
